What is OpenMCU-ru?

OpenMCU-ru - open source project! It's forked from OpenMCU from H.323 Plus project and crammed with a new features. OpenMCU-ru is a Mutli Conference Unit (or Multipoint Control Unit) using the H.323, SIP and RTSP protocols. It is known to run on Linux, FreeBSD and Windows and should run on any platform supported by H323plus, Sofia-SIP and FFmpeg. OpenMCU-ru is a free software project released under the Mozilla Public License which gives you the power to run, modify, and copy the software and to distribute, at your option, modified copies of the software. Some codecs have licenses which differs from the project license - take a look in the corresponding folders. The software is released in a transparent process that allows for independent verification of binaries and their corresponding source code.

OpenMCU-ru Features:

- configured and controlled by a web interface on port 1420 (use http://host:1420 access);
- requires no codec hardware to operate;
- supports G.711, G.722, G.723, G.726, G.728, G.729, SILK, Speex, Opus and other plugin audio codecs supported by H323plus;
- supports H.261, H.263, H.263+, VP8 and H.264 video up to Full HD 1080P with caching;
- can accept multiple connections simultaneously;
- several different conferences can be taking place at the same time using the 'rooms' feature;
- display statistics on calls in progress;
- initiate calls from the MCU to remote endpoints.
